How to create a Goal Cycle?

Goal cycles help structure goals around specific timeframes, such as quarterly or annual cycles. Creating a goal cycle in ThriveSparrow helps you manage and track goal-setting periods across your organization. Follow these simple steps to set up a new cycle:

Access the Goal Cycle Section

• Go to the Goals module in the Admin view.
• In the left navigation bar, select the Goal Cycle section.

Note: The system automatically creates four quarterly goal cycles. For example, if you set up goals in October 2024 and your annual cycle starts in January, it will create Q4, Q1-25, Q2-25, Q3-25. This means you’ll see the current quarter and the next three quarters, along with the current year’s annual cycle. Once the year is 3/4 complete, the system will also generate the following year’s cycle automatically. So since October is the start of Q4 and ¾ of the year is completed two annual cycles Y-2024 and Y-2025 would be created.

P.S: Once the goal cycle is set, it cannot be changed

Create a New Goal Cycle

• Click on the + New Cycle button to start.

Provide Basic Details

• Title: Give your new goal cycle a clear, descriptive title (e.g., Q1 2024 Performance Goals).
• Start and End Date: Set the date range during which this goal cycle will be active.

Set Default Goal Cycle 

• Choose whether this goal cycle should be the default by checking the Make this cycle default option.
• • Note: If you choose this option, it will override the current default goal cycle for your organization.

Save the Goal Cycle

• After filling out the required information, click the Save button to finalize and activate the new goal cycle.
