Setting up Kudos on Slack after importing employee data from Google Workspace

Import Google Workspace Employee Data

Access Slack Integration

Now, navigate to the Integrate module and click on the Connect button in the Slack integration tab.

Verify Slack Admin Authorization

Ensure that you have the necessary Slack admin privileges. If not, please contact your organization's Slack admin to obtain authorization.

Integration Process

You'll be directed to an OAuth verification page. Review the details and click Allow to proceed with the integration.

Setting Up Kudos on Slack

After granting permission, you'll have the option to set up Kudos on Slack. Select this option to continue.

Create a New Channel:

Select the button to create a new Slack channel for Kudos and add a channel name before hitting on ‘Save and Continue’.

When you create a new channel, you'll again have two choices:

• Add All Members to the Channel: Select this if you want to include all your Slack members in the channel. Configure the import settings for Slack, and click Save Settings to finalize.
  
• Add Only Selected Members to the Channel: Choose this if you prefer to select specific members to include in the channel. Configure the import settings for Slack, and click Save Settings to complete the setup.

Reconnecting Slack with ThriveSparrow

• In the event that you need to reconnect Slack with Thrivesparrow, you will be prompted to select whether you want to use an existing channel that you created the last time you integrated Slack or create a new one for Kudos.
  
• If you choose to use an existing channel, simply select it from the dropdown. If you opt to create a new one, enter a channel name and click Save Settings.

Workspace Data Synchronization Note

Depending on your Workspace auto-sync configuration:

• If an employee is not present in the employee directory, create those employees in the employee directory and send invites based on the Workspace auto-sync configuration.
  
• If an employee is present, update their display name and display picture as needed.
