As an admin, you can control who is allowed to view feedback beyond the requester and the author. This helps you maintain the right balance between privacy and visibility based on your organization’s feedback culture.
Privacy Settings Overview
Under the Privacy Settings section in the Feedback Configuration panel, you can choose who else can view feedback (apart from the requester and the person giving the feedback):
Visibility Options:
- Recipient (always selected): The person the feedback is about will be able to see it by default.
- Recipient’s Manager: Allow the recipient’s manager to view the feedback.
- Recipient’s Department Head: Extend visibility to higher-level leadership for broader oversight.
You can enable one, multiple, or none of these options based on your organization’s preferences.
Overriding Visibility
You’ll also see a toggle labeled:
Requestor and author can override the settings
When this is enabled, individual users can adjust visibility on a case-by-case basis while giving or requesting feedback — within the boundaries you’ve set as an admin.
Example: If only “Recipient” and “Manager” are selected in your settings, users will only be able to choose from those two options when sending feedback.
Best Practices
- Enable Manager visibility if you want managers to stay informed and coach their team effectively.
- Use Department Head access sparingly unless leadership oversight is essential.
- Allow overrides if your culture supports flexible sharing.
