How to archive a goal?
Step 1: Go to a particular goal you want to archive.
Step 2: Click on the 3 dots, and click on the Archive Goal option from the drop-down.
What happens when you archive a goal?
When a goal is archived, its current status is paused and visibility is limited to specific users. Here’s how it works:
- Progress Freezing
- All progress updates are halted once a goal is archived. The goal remains in its last progressed state and no further changes can be made to it once archived.
- Notifications
- All participants associated with the goal are notified that it has been archived, ensuring clarity about the status of their involvement.
- Visibility Limitations
- Once archived, only the Super Admins, Admins, Goal Managers and Goal Creators of the goal retain access to view the goal. All other roles lose visibility to ensure a streamlined focus on active goals.
- Impact on Parent Goals
- When an archived goal is a sub-goal of a parent goal, it is no longer displayed as a child within the parent goal. And all the progress that the child's goal contributed to would be reversed.
For example, if a goal called G2 (a child goal) is archived, its progress will no longer contribute to G1 (the parent goal). G1 will no longer show G2 as an active child, reflecting the updated hierarchy and progress.
Note: This archival process and visibility restrictions also apply to Tasks associated with goals.
Who has the access to the drafted goal?
A drafted goal is a goal that has been created by the user but not yet published or made visible to a wider audience.
- Only the Goal Creator has access to view a drafted goal.
- No other users can see or interact with a drafted goal until it is published.
You can find your Draft Goals in the Draft section.
