ThriveSparrow automatically calculates goal progress based on the completion of tasks and child goals. Here’s how the system works:
- Task-based Progress:
- If a goal is divided into multiple tasks, the progress is calculated as the average completion percentage of all tasks. For example, if you have 3 tasks and 2 of them are 50% complete, the overall progress of the goal will be calculated accordingly.
- Formula:
"n" is the number of Tasks in that goal
"n" is the number of Child Goals attached to that goal.
- Child Goal Progress:
- If a goal has child goals aligned to it, the progress of these child goals also contributes to the parent goal's progress. The system calculates the average progress of all child goals to provide an updated status.
- Overachieving or Stretch Goals:
- In some cases, tasks can exceed 100% progress (e.g., revenue targets). ThriveSparrow will continue tracking progress even after a Task reaches 100%, allowing for overachievement tracking.
This ensures an accurate reflection of progress, enabling managers and employees to stay on top of their goals.
