Goal alignment is a powerful feature that connects goals across the organization, ensuring that everyone works towards common objectives. Here’s how you can align your goal:
- Navigate to Your Goal:
- Open the goal that you want to align with others.
- Attach a Parent Goal:
- Click on “Attach Parent Goal” to align your goal to a larger, company-wide objective. This allows your goal to contribute towards a higher-level goal.
- Attach Child Goals:
- If your goal serves as a higher-level objective, you can attach multiple child goals by selecting “Attach Child Goals.”
- Confirm Alignment:
- Once you've selected the goals you want to align, click “Save” to confirm. The system will automatically calculate how progress in child goals contributes to parent goals.
Aligning goals ensures that efforts across departments, teams, and individuals are all working in harmony toward the same overarching targets.
Rules of Goal Alignment
- Goal Level Rule: A parent goal must be at the same or higher level than its child goals.
- Visibility Hierarchy: Parent goals must have higher visibility than child goals.
- Circular Dependency Prevention: A goal cannot become the parent of another goal in its own chain.
- Existing Parent Check: Only goals without a parent can be aligned as new parents.
- Visibility for Assignee and Creator: Only goals visible to both the assignee and creator would appear in the alignment list.
