ThriveSparrow’s SMTP Email Configuration allows you to integrate your email service provider (e.g., Gmail, SendGrid, MailChimp) with ThriveSparrow, enabling you to send a large number of emails simultaneously. Simply obtain your email service provider’s SMTP server details, configure them in your ThriveSparrow account, and start sending emails through your chosen provider.
Here's how to set it up:
Steps to Configure SMTP in ThriveSparrow
- Sign in to your ThriveSparrow account.
- Navigate to Account Settings. Under Email Settings, find the Email section and click on SMTP.
- Enter your SMTP server details. Fill in the fields with your email service provider’s SMTP server address.
- Example: For Gmail, use smtp.gmail.com. The address will differ based on your email provider.
- Secure the connection. Click "Secure" only if you wish to establish an SSL/TLS connection. For ports 587 and 25, the connection will be secure by default, so there's no need to select the Secure option.
- Provide your credentials. Enter your username and app password details, then click "Add Email" to save the information.
Verifying Settings with Your Email Service Provider
- Confirm SMTP details. After updating and enabling the SMTP server details, check with your email service provider to confirm the configuration.
- Ready for use. Once confirmed, your mailbox is ready to send surveys to end users via your mail server.
- Send from your email address. When sharing your survey via email, you can now send it from the sender email address you entered.
- Manage and track emails independently. This feature ensures all email transactions occur outside ThriveSparrow and are managed and tracked on your end.
- Proper configuration is crucial. Ensure your settings are correctly configured before sending emails from your server.
- Finalize configuration. Once everything is verified and complete, your SMTP configuration is ready to use.
Note
- For ports 587 or 25, the connection will be secure by default; do not select the Secure option.
