Importing Employee Data with Integration for Slack

This simple guide will show you the steps to integrate Slack for Importing Employee data, even when Kudos is not purchased.

Access Integration for Slack:

Begin by navigating to the Integrate module. Look for the Slack tab and click on the Connect button.

Verify Slack Admin Authorization:

Verify that you have the necessary Slack admin privileges. If you're not authorized, please reach out to your organization's Slack admin for assistance.

Integration Process:

Now, it's time to integrate the Employee Directory with Slack. You'll be directed to an OAuth verification page. Verify the details and hit Allow to proceed.

Setting Up Kudos on Slack

After granting permission, you'll have the option to set up Kudos on Slack. Select this option to continue.

Create a New Channel:

Select the button to create a new Slack channel for Kudos and add a channel name before hitting on ‘Save and Continue’.

When you create a new channel, you'll again have two choices:

• Add All Members to the Channel: Select this if you want to include all your Slack members in the channel. Configure the import settings for Slack, and click Save Settings to finalize.
  
  
• Add Only Selected Members to the Channel: Choose this if you prefer to select specific members to include in the channel. Configure the import settings for Slack, and click Save Settings to complete the setup.

Reconnecting Slack with ThriveSparrow

• In the event that you need to reconnect Slack with Thrivesparrow, you will be prompted to select whether you want to use an existing channel that you created the last time you integrated Slack or create a new one for Kudos.
  
  
• If you choose to use an existing channel, simply select it from the dropdown. If you opt to create a new one, enter a channel name and click Save Settings.

Invite Members:

Configure the invite settings to tailor the integration to your organization's needs. You can choose to 

• Invite all the members
  [or]
• Invite selected members

Opt for whether to send invites to members to join ThriveSparrow after completing the import process.

And finally, hit the Save Settings button. Once saved, your integration with Slack is complete.
